Dear  Commercial Customers:

This notice is being sent to you with the hope that you can assist the
Village in a matter which must be dealt with immediately.  Ohio EPA
is continually monitoring the workings of our wastewater treatment
plant.  They and our operators have brought to our attention a problem
with the system taking in massive amounts of grease/oil.  This problem
causes the Village to spend extra money on operation and maintenance
and also could eventually cause us to be fined by the EPA for improper
treatment.  We are asking you to look at your methods of disposing of
these items and verify that the ingredients you are using are septic
friendly.  If you have a meal preparation establishment then you must
by law have a grease trap with verifiable records of maintenance and
cleaning.

We will be contacting you in the near future to have such items
inspected with hope that all are working properly.  We all have invested
a lot into this system and we are not only required by law, but by
personal frugality to be good stewards of our investment and
environment.
